I am Dr. Fariza Rahman from Bangladesh currently working as medical officer at sub-district level. I have accomplished my 1st part of Obs & Gyn fellowship in Bangladesh. I had done 2 years of resident training in Obs & Gyn from Dhaka Medical College Hospital. As I entered into Govt. job so according to policy of Bangladesh Govt. I have been working at primary health care level for last 2.5 years.
During my residency training at tertiary level hospital, I experienced many complicated obstetrics cases. I saw pregnant women sufferings from eclampsia, obstetric labour, APH, PPH etc. Most of them came on stretcher and left with smile on their face. In my current working place at primary health care level still EOC program is not in place. I have seen the real sufferings of poor women. But hopefully EOC will start within 6 months.
So my objective is to pay contribution to improve maternal health policy at all level by improving myself on research capability which is neglected part of our medical field. I hope this course will lead me towards my goal.
