Medical Education and Research in collaboration with the Department of Health of the Canton of Geneva, Organisation and Structure The Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER), the International Association for Maternal and Neonatal Health (IAMANEH), the San Raffaele del Monte Tabor Foundation, and the Department of Reproductive Health and Research (WHO/RHR) – in collaboration with the Department of Health of the Canton of Geneva, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva and the Geneva Medical Association– are accepting applications for the Course: From Research to Practice: Training in Reproductive Health Research. The purpose of this course is to provide training in clinical research in reproductive health, to educate graduates in research methodology and to acquaint trainees with the most recent technological advances. The course is aimed at participants already involved in a research/research synthesis project wanting to complete their project for publication or submission.
The course is structured as follows:
Research Methodology (2 weeks) covering: Study Designs, Critical Appraisal, Research Synthesis, Strategies for Data Analysis, Ethics and Human Rights in clinical research.
Reproductive Health (2 weeks) covering: Basic Pathophysiological Principles, Family Planning, Infertility, Gynaecological Endocrinology and Menopause, Genital Infections/Sexually Transmitted Infections and Cancer, and Obstetrics.
Lecturers are from WHO, the GFMER, the San Raffaele del Monte Tabor Foundation, the Geneva University and other collaborating academic institutions. The course will lead to a Certificate which can be obtained after having passed the exams at the end of the course.

Costs
The administrative fees are CHF 1500 per participant.
Study Grants
Through contributions from several donor organisations, the course organisers are making available a limited number of study grants, which will be offered to selected participants to meet some of the costs of their participation in the course.
