Main research interests :
Creation of Center of Medical Genetics of NAS of Armenia in 1999. Application of methods of molecular genetics and cytogenetics for diagnostics of genetic disorders. Genetic counseling, using prenatal diagnosis and risk calculations. Genetic investigations of patients with chromosome syndromes, mental retardations. DNA-diagnostics of Familial Mediterranean Fever and other hereditary disorders.
