Doctors/health professionals intending to undertake a randomized clinical trial or a Cochrane systematic review.

Objectives
To equip participants with knowledge, skills and mentorship to:
- Plan, conduct, analyze and publish a randomized clinical trial
- Conduct a systematic review of randomized trials for publication in the Cochrane Library
- Use RevMan, Epi-info and WHO Reproductive Health Library software
Course structure
- Pre-course preparation:
- Preparatory study of course materials (approx 16 hours). Course materials including computer programmes will be sent out on CD-ROM.
- Participants are encouraged to select a topic for a randomized clinical trial or systematic review they intend to conduct, and to do background reading.
- Intensive 4-day course with hands-on computer training, 20-23 July 2004,
- Optional certificate examination.
- Optional individual mentoring to assist participants to work on their selected clinical trial or systematic review.
