SESSION OUTLINE

Learning Objectives

By the end of the session students will be able to:

  • Define the major infections of the reproductive tract and their modes of transmission
  • Describe the importance of these infections at the individual, community and public health levels
  • Describe the major ways of intervening to reduce the burden of disease associated with these infections
  • Describe the major areas for research in relation to infections of the reproductive tract

Methodology

The session will be predominantly based on lecture material, however, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the main reading materials at all times.
