My name is Frédéric Nasibu Kalombola; I am a doctor and a citizen from the RD Congo. Currently I live in Italy where I am training on “Medicine and International Health” at the University of Parma.
My professional experience has been achieved mainly through the activities of NGOs. So I worked with the Italian NGO COOPI first in my country in its activities of nutrition for malnourished children and psychological support to women victims of sexual violence in post war; then, for nearly three years in Chad in the health program of support to Sudanese refugees from Darfur.
But before this great experience, human and professional, I had the opportunity to work for a year with another Italian NGO GVC in Burundi. The mission has been to accommodate Burundian refugees in Tanzania who returned to their homeland. It was during this experience that I faced the problems of reproductive health. This explains the interest that I bring to this training that the WHO is organising.
