Dr. Enrique Guevara is a reputable professional with more than 20 years of experience as a Gynecologist-Obstetrician at various health institutions. He has extensive management experience as an attending physician in gynecology and obstetrics at the Hypertensive Diseases of Pregnancy Service of the Department of Obstetrics at the Specialized Maternal-Perinatal Health Institute in Lima, Peru. He has been responsible for different reproductive health programs, including the Mother and Baby-friendly Hospital Project at the Pucallpa Regional Hospital, Ucayali and the family planning and STD programs at the Lurín-Pachacamac-Pucusana Health Unit of the South Lima Health office. He provided training in prevention of hospital infections, family planning, obstetric emergencies and post-abortion care in several projects and provided technical assistance in these areas to health care professionals. Dr. Guevara provides training in Peru and abroad in subjects related to sexual and reproductive health. He provided technical assistance to projects in Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador, Paraguay and Egypt. He also developed and validated training modules for post-abortion care and obstetric and neonatal emergencies. He prepared obstetric emergency care protocols for the Ministry of Health and provided technical assistance for the preparation of National Reproductive Health Guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
