I am a middle-aged woman who was born and brought up in a rural village called Serowe in Botswana. This is where I did my primary and secondary schooling. For tertiary education, I went to Gaborone Institute of Health Sciences for General Nursing, Midwifery and Community Health Nursing diplomas. These were followed by a Certificate in Nursing Administration at the Institute of Development Management in Gaborone, Botswana. I completed a Bachelor of Nursing Science at the University of Botswana in 2002. In 2009, I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in HIV/AIDS Management from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. I then enrolled for a Master of Philosophy in HIV/AIDS Management, which I obtained in March 2011.

With regard to work experience, I have worked for the Government of Botswana since 1985, holding different positions in nursing until June 2005 when I left my position as a Matron. In July 2005 I joined Debswana Diamond Company, where I have since been working.

I currently work as a wellness educator. My duties include HIV/AIDS Health Promotion (Positive Living), Disease Management Programme Promotion, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Education, Peer Education Programme, and Wellness Promotion.

My hobbies include softball, going to church, reading, watching TV, and aerobics.
