I was born on the 26th of May 1974. I graduated from the centralized School of Nursing, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and obtained my Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing in 1991/1992. Continuing my educational career, I graduated with a BSc Degree in public health from the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. After some years of service in my profession, I joined the university of Gondar, Ethiopia for the second time and graduated with my Master’s of Public Health with specialty of Health Informatics in 2003/2004 and 2008/2009 respectively. I worked in the government sector for several years in different positions and responsibilities, much of the time spent being as academic staff (a lecturer) and also in a managerial position as Academic Dean. I then joined Integrated Family Health International, Pathfinder International to work as a cluster coordinator in Debre Tabor Cluster office, Amhara Region and also working as Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health program officer, in IFHP Amhara Regional office, Ethiopia. I married and started to give birth too early, i.e. at the age of 19, I got my first baby girl who is already at university. Generally, I am blessed with three children.
