I am a Malawian Nurse/Midwife resident in South Sudan. I was born and educated in Malawi. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Malawi, Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN) in 2008 and later in 2010; I obtained a post graduate University Certificate in Midwifery (UCM) from the same University. I did a short course in Clinical Preceptor-ship at Mzuzu University in 2013.

Since October 2013, I have worked for UNFPA-South Sudan as an International UN Volunteer-Midwife, at Maridi State Teaching Hospital. My job aims at capacity building and therefore-, I support Maternity and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) departments staff of Maridi Hospital through; mentorship and on job clinical training. I teach and conduct clinical training for students of Maridi Health Sciences Institute and Maridi School of Nursing and Midwifery. At the UNFPA-Maridi Duty Station, I am the team leader and a direct supervisor for a National UN volunteer. In programming, I actively contribute to Young people and Adolescents project activities implemented by AMREF peer project. I am in the process of opening a Youth Friendly Reproductive Health Clinic at the Maridi hospital-MCH department.

From 2008 to 2013, I served as a civil servant for the Government of Malawi in the Ministry of Health as a Nursing/Midwifery Officer; for Maternity and Pediatric departments. While working for the government of Malawi, I was appointed the district coordinator for Emergency Triage Assessment and Treatment (ETAT) programme, for Under Five Children, from 2012 to 2013 at Mangochi District Hospital.

I have widely travelled across Africa and Europe countries. I do speak English and Chichewa language. Currently, I am attending French lessons.
