I am Wosene Berhanu, I was born in 1978 in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. I grew up in Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethiopia. I studied nursing in a diploma course of study and a BSC in Nursing at Kea- MED medical college. I worked for the Myungsung Christen Medical Center (MCM) for four years as an emergency nurse. And then I worked in a refugee camp for two years. During my stay in “Sherkole” refugee camp, I got ample experience and trainings in the area of PMTCT, STI prevention and treatment, HIV and TB, SGBV, nutrition and the like. Since I was working in a refugee camp and it contains people from different country and cultural background my stay in “Sherkolel” refugee camp helped me to have a full understanding of multicultural facts of African’s.  I also obtained a master’s degree in development studies from the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology in 2014.

Currently I am a project officer at the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology Community Outreach Program Maternal and Child Health Project in three area programs. I have given trainings for different group in the area of Maternal, Child and Newborn Health (MNCH), FP, Gender and health issues, and nutrition. I serve as a training facilitator on Channel of Hope (COH) for, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) with the collaboration of World Vision Ethiopia faith and development program Maternal and Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) program. I was taking part in the third Family Planning Conferences in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. I went to Philani Mentor Mothers Project Western Cape, South Africa for MNCH training at Philani I have moved in different part of the state to facilitate MNCH training I address the residential district in Ethiopia by their mother tongue to make the trainings successful. I speak more than three languages.

Recently I did a research in Gender Based Violence and the Role of Church Leaders: The Case of Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus, Addis Ababa and a descriptive study on addressing the nutritional and health needs of mothers and children through trained mentor mothers baseline data analysis.
