I was born on 12th May 1980 in Bauchi, Bauchi State. I graduated from Bayero University Kano with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2011. I am now at the final stage of my dissertation writing towards a Masters Degree in Public Health from the same University. I attended many trainings and workshops on assisted vaginal delivery, surgical skills for casualties of Arm conflicts, maternal mortality review, HIV care, Health sector Budgeting, Performance Based Financing, research ethics and North East Rehabilitation. I also participated in the development of Project Implementation Manual and User’s manual for the Nigeria State Health Investment Project Additional Financing. As a maternal and child health Champion (PACFaH Champion) I supported a Non Governmental Organization (Community Health Research Initiative) to pay advocacy visits to policy makers in Bauchi State towards increase in health budgetary allocations to Health sector and creating budgetary lines to maternal and child health activities. I am currently supporting the Bauchi State Ministry of women affairs towards awareness campaigns on reducing Gender Based Violence in Bauchi State. All these are in addition to my primary responsibilities of coordinating the activities of Nigeria State Health Investment Project in Bauchi State.

I speak Hausa and English Languages.
