I have been working as a humanitarian aid worker for the last 5 years in the position of a nutrition and health technical officer/coordinator/project manager in Malawi, Ethiopia, Turkey, Egypt, occupied territory of Palestine and Lebanon responding to different types of humanitarian crises.

My work involves designing and implementing projects related to infant and young child feeding, treatment of acute malnutrition and supplementary and therapeutic food aid. Assisting individuals suffering from malnutrition is always challenging since its cause is far more complex than food insecurity in the household, and preventing it requires a multi-sectorial approach which includes including sexual and reproductive health aspects into the designs of the interventions. As such, I am looking forward to this learning experience to increase my capacity in sexual and reproductive health.

I have a BA in Human Rights, Peace and Conflict, and MSc degree in Gender Research from London School of Economics, and PgDip in Nutrition and Public Health.
