I have been working in the Public Health sector for 25 years. For the past 4 years I held the position of Assistant Secretary for Family Health at the Puerto Rico Health Department. As Assistant Secretary and Senior Deputy Officer I had the responsibility to oversee the following programs: Immunization, Maternal and Child, HIV/STD/TB, Intellectual Disabilities, Children with Special Needs and Intellectual Disability. For the past year and a half I worked closely with CDC in relation to the Zika epidemic in Puerto Rico; specifically, access to contraceptives methods. I got my master degree in International Health Management, Economics and Policy at Bocconi University. At the moment I’m working for a healthcare organization as Compliance Officer and also working for a clinical research organization in Puerto Rico. Looking forward to share experiences and get knowledge from colleagues and professionals in the reproductive health area.
