I was born on June 19, 1977 in a small village of Wonchi District, South West Shoa Zone, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. I graduated from Haramaya University with BSC, Public health in 2002. Since then, I have engaged in provision of clinical and public health services at Woliso HC, St. Luke Catholic Hospital and College of Nursing and Serbo Health Center, Jimma. In 2008, I joined Addis Ababa University and graduated in 2010 with an MPH. I have served South West Shoa Zone as Zonal Family Health and DPPC Expert for two years. Similarly, I am engaged with an NGO, Tulane University International –Ethiopia as a resident Senior HMIS Master Mentor, having served for two years.

Currently, I am working for WHO Country Office as Immunization and Surveillance Technical Officer (SSA) at Bale Zone, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. I have undertaken and applied different TOT training; RH and post abortion care; IMNCI/Pediatric HIV/AIDS management; leadership, management and governance (LMG), emergency nutrition assessment; SMART methodology and software training; comprehensive TB/Leprosy and HIV/AIDS,HIV/AIDS clinical mentoring and immunization related trainings, immunization in practice, cold chain and vaccine management, comprehensive EPI.

In general, I have used my working period in health services to apply the knowledge I have gained from teaching institutions and organizations. Nowadays, I am enthusiastic to join the research arena, especially applied research and particularly in sexual and reproductive health.
