I was born in 1963 in Leiden. I went to the University of Ghent, Belgium and Groningen, The Netherlands for my MD. Thereafter I did my PhD in Utrecht (with Prof te Velde and Prof Habbema) on the subject of intra-uterine insemination.

I’m head of the Fertility Center Isala, Isala Clinics Zwolle, one of the largest Fertility Clinics in the Netherlands. Our clinics focusses on patient-centered care and research.
