My name is Miguel Egoavil and I am a licensed physician since 2009. My thesis was published as a paper in a Peruvian journal at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. Nowadays I am the coordinator at a Quipu Project, that has the main objective to develop and implement training opportunities in Global Health Informatics in Peru and also in the Andean Region. I also collaborated in one project that was funded by this project called TBRed which was aimed to increase the adherence to TB-sensible treatment by SMS reminders.

My main areas of interest are epidemiology, statistics and global health but I think that the technologies applied in the health field like eHealth, mHealth and telemedicine has a big potential that we need to explore.
