The Oxford Evidence-based Management of Pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia
Training Course in Mumbai, India December 9, 2011 Local Coordinator: Dr Beena Joshi Project Coordinator: Brenda Narice, MD The Oxford University Maternal and Perinatal Health Institute (OMPHI) in collaboration with Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER) has provided health professionals from India with a one-day, free training on The evidence-based management of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. The training was developed as an e-learning module by the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (NDOG), University of Oxford and funded by the MacArthur Foundation through EngenderHealth. On December 9, 25 health professionals from Municipal Maternity Homes, Peripheral Hospitals and also junior and senior residents of OBGYN and faculty from medical colleges and researchers from NIRRH attended the evidence-based management of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia training in the National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRHH). The training lasted the whole day and was followed by 20 multiple-choice questions based on the training module. All participants were presented with certificates jointly signed by the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of the University of Oxford, GFMER and the director of NIRRH. Participants list
