“There's lots of people in this world who spend so much time watching their health that they haven't the time to enjoy it.” ~Josh Billings.
As much as I have enjoyed my health all these years, I wish I could share the joy of having a health life with one other person who hasn’t had the chance to do that yet. I, Utsha Karki, age 20, currently a junior at Lake Forest College, USA, am working as a member of The Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research to understand and contribute to help alleviate the different worldwide health issues that have been caused simply because of the lack of health education or the lack of research.
I was born in Nepal and lived there all my life until I came to the US for my undergrad studies. My areas of interest are mathematics and economics in which I plan to get a degree in when I graduate. I want to pursue my career as an econometrician as I enjoy dealing with numbers and analyzing them.
While in Nepal, I was an active member of “The Youth Initiative”, an organization that helped spread awareness on youth related problems, concentrating more in HIV/AIDS. I am also a lifetime-member of the Red Cross Society and have been trained for first aid treatment. Prior to that, I served “The Social Service Club” of my school and participated in many donation programmes and blood drives.
