I am a clinical officer with professional interest in reproductive health programs management and research. Main areas of interest being public health aspects of maternal health, adolescents health and access to reproductive health information and services by marginalized communities.

I am presently working for Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) as the district coordinator for the Male Circumcision Program ( MCP) in Kisumu West, Bondo and Rarieda districts. My key responsibilities are to provide leadership and coordinate the work of twelve clinical teams. I also work closely with scientist working in different research projects and also serve as a liaison person between NRHS, Ministry of health and the general community at the district level. Before taking up this position, I worked as a service provider of voluntary medical male circumcision as a public health intervention to reduce rates of new HIV infection.

Between 2006 and 2008 I worked for Kenya Acorn project, joining as a clinical officer in-charge of the community hospital and later as the health coordinator. During this time, I successfully established an ART program, support groups for people living with HIV and also oversaw the accreditation process for Acorn VCT and introduction of National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF). I also worked in school health programs, MCH and VCT outreach clinics.

Immediately after my internship, I worked for a small mission hospital in Homa bay followed by four months of volunteer work at the patient support center (HIV clinic) at Homa bay district hospital.

I trained at Sengerema Clinical Officers Training Center in Mwanza, Tanzania. Graduating with a diploma in clinical medicine. Last year I received a scholarship from RCOG to study professional Diploma in Reproductive Health in Developing Countries at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK.
