I am 33 year old currently a 3rd year resident pursuing Masters of Medicine in Reproductive Health at Moi University, Kenya. I graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2006, did my internship at Kakamega Provincial level 5 hospital in 2007 and thereafter practiced as a general practitioner at various rural hospitals in Western Kenya prior to starting my residency in 2012.
I’m interested in pursuing the GFMER course as it will provide different global perspective on reproductive health issues. It will sharpen my understanding about research and more importantly it will be a platform for interaction with students and scholars from a different professional and cultural backgrounds thus an opportunity for horizontal exchange of experience, ideas and perspectives pertaining to diverse reproductive health issues.
I hope that armed with the new perspectives and experiences gained I will be inspired to replicate and improve service provision locally and empower my career development as a reproductive health specialist.
