My name is Oluwasomidoyin Olukemi Bello. I am a Nigerian, and work as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. I subspecialize in Urogynaecology.
I trained as a medical doctor in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria and proceeded for my internship at Baptist Medical Center, Ogbomoso, Nigeria between February, 2004 and January, 2005. I had my National Youth Service and worked as a medical officer with Oyo state hospital management board in 2005.
In 2006, I worked as a Casualty officer at the Accident and Emergency department, University College Hospital Ibadan until February, 2008 when I commenced my post graduate training programme in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University College Hospital, Ibadan and finished in record time. During my post graduate specialty training, I developed interest in Urogynaecology.
I have extensive experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Uro-gynecological and Vagina surgeries. I am interested in conducting research and have the ability to lead and work as a team player, with excellent communication and collaborative skills. I am self-motivated, focused and hardworking and give high attention to details.
I participate in fistula outreach and training programs including but not limited to USAID, GWIN and FIGO sponsored programs.
