Ms. Yeshey was born and educated in eastern Bhutan. She commenced her career at the Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital, Thimphu, Kingdom’s premier medical facility after completing her GNM course at the Royal Institute of Health Science in 1999. In the course of her career she completed Bachelor of Nursing from the La Trobe University, Australia and Master of Science in Nursing from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Medical Sciences, Bangalore, India. She also cleared the Kingdom’s competitive and prestigious Bhutan Civil Service Selection Examinations (BCSE) in 2013. She served in several hospitals across the Kingdom as Chief Nurses/Staff Nurse accompanying her Magistrate husband and two children in different districts. She is currently managing the Community Health Unit of the Tsirang General Hospital.

She attended several short courses and trainings on management of Malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, etc. both within and outside the country such as Thailand, India and Bangladesh. A thorough professional and an experienced nurse, Yeshey is totally dedicated to her duties and career. A role model and an inspiration to the Bhutanese nursing profession, she is an avid reader and a budding writer and motivational speaker. She is actively involved in the training her fellow-nurses and grass root health personnel especially in the rural communities. In her spare time she engages in social and voluntary activities especially for the underprivileged or the disadvantaged.
