The Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) in Tanzania commemorates World Malaria Day on 26 April 2016 with a celebration at Ikwiriri town in Rufiji. Banners carrying the Malaria Day message in both English and Swahili were strategically placed for visibility, pamphlets were distributed, and awareness speeches and dramas performed. IHI offered free malaria test services for the Ikwiriri community at its neighborhood villages. CDs for creating awareness for children about malaria prevention were launched and distributed. IHI covers health challenges, including HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, maternal & neonatal health and health systems.
