INTERPRACTICE-21st Investigators’ Meeting, Green Templeton College, Oxford, UK - Josephine Agyeman-Duah

The International Preterm Postnatal Growth Standards Consortium met in Oxford on the 25th and 26th April 2017 to discuss the INTERPRACTICE-21st pilot project in a two day investigators’ meeting at the Green Templeton College, Oxford. The meeting discussed in detail the aims of the project which include promoting the use of the INTERGROWTH-21st protocols to standardize preterm postnatal growth monitoring and feeding practices using breastmilk. The proper uses of these tools are aimed at improving the growth, development and survival rate of preterm infants. Ultimately, the INTERPRACTICE-21st seeks to gain high level policy support for global acceptance and use of the standards for monitoring preterm babies and infants up to the age of five.
