On Saturday, GFMER team members and their families gathered near Fribourg Switzerland, at the home of Dr. Blaise Bourrit, Secretary General of GFMER, to enjoy raclette and traditional Afghan food prepared by Dr. Karim Abawi and his wife. Dr. Bourrit also entertained the team by playing music on the saw and offering free lessons to those in attendance. The event was in honor of invaluable GFMER intern Julie Morris, who will be returning to Canada at the end of the month. Thank you Julie for all your hard work and for giving us an excuse to get together and eat fantastic food! You will be missed!
