GFMER training course in research methodology, research protocol development and scientific writing 2025: End of course meeting

The eight-week online training course in research methodology, research protocol development and scientific writing, organised by the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER) in collaboration with the Oxford Maternal and Perinatal Health Institute (OMPHI) and the WHO's Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research, concluded successfully on 28 October 2025. The course had 73 participants from 31 countries and was mentored by 11 coaches from 10 countries, fostering a truly global learning community.
On 30 October 2025, an end-of-course meeting was organised on Zoom where participants, coaches, the GFMER team, and Prof. Jane Hirst (Imperial College London/University of Oxford, UK), one of the course coordinators, shared their reflections on the course. The session had a peak attendance of 35.
