Assignment

  1. Please read the news clippings from Tanzania (1 page) and Australia (1 page). They highlight challenges in getting teachers to carry out sexuality education in their classrooms, and in getting heads of schools to ensure that sexuality education progrmmes take place. Comment on the situation in your country.

  2. Read the Guatemala case study (2 pages). Non Government Organizations (NGO) such as the one described in the case study do courageous and innovative work. However, in many cases their work remains small scale and time limited. List 1-2 strengths and weaknesses (if any) of NGO initiatives in sexuality education that you have come across.
