Dr Abdulfetah Abdulkadir Abdosh was born on 08/08/1968. He graduated from The University of Belgrade, Medical Faculty, Serbia in 1996 as a general medical practitioner, in 2002 as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in 2005 as a subspecialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics. He also obtained a Diploma in cervical pathology and Colposcopy.

He served as a chairperson of department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Paul's Millennium Medical College from 2007- March,2013.He actively involved in strengthening undergraduate medical educational program which was started in November 2007 at St Paul's Millennium Medical College. He has active role and contributed his time and energy in initiating residency program in obstetrics and gynecology in his college in July 2012 together with his colleagues and administrators in collaboration with The University of Michigan and Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health. His active role has not been limited to these programs but extended to introducing and initiating new program in the Ethiopia:- Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics which has been started in January 2014 in collaboration with The University of Michigan. He has been working as a focal person for the Near Miss and maternal death reviewing committee since 2011.

He is interested to be involved and contribute in global research projects targeting to improve the quality of women's and perinatal health care services.

He is currently a member of executive board of Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 2012 and African Association of Perinatal Medicine since 2013.

He is currently working as an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College. He is a coordinator of Fellowship Program in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

He is currently a national coordinator and Principal Investigator of World Maternal Antifibrinolytic Trial:- Tranexamic Acid for the Treatment of Postpartum Haemorrhage: an international Randomised, Double Blind, Placebo Controlled Trial which is being currently carried out in 18 countries and 138 sites around the world.

He is also a director of Ethiopian Branch of Ian Donald's Inter-University School of Medical Ultrasound. Its Head Quarter is located in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
