Currently, I am working as a researcher at Polana Caniço Health Research and Training Center (CISPOC), a center affiliated to the Instituto Nacional de Saúde (INS), Ministry of Health, Mozambique. This research center is engaged to conduct HIV prevention activities, including HIV vaccine clinical trials, and HIV epidemiology and basic research in field of HIV.
After completion of my medical degree, I joined INS where I work as a researcher and had a opportunity to work as a clinician and later also as a coordinator in HIV vaccine clinical trials. Currently, I am engaged in preparation of our research center to participate in evaluation of new HIV vaccines candidates. In addition, I have been invited to participate as a member of macro-project on Sexual and Reproductive Health at INS, and a member of institutional scientific committee at INS.
As a researcher, I aim to generate continuous evidence, and participate in the process of policy making in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health in my country. I am keenly interested in acquiring more theoretical/practical knowledge in this particular field. I believe that, by taking part in this course, I would improve my skills, thus would increase my levels of motivation and performance.
