Karima Mayar Amiri, a medical doctor graduated from Kabul Medical Faculty in 1990. Soon after graduation she joined Malalai Maternity Hospital as medical doctor. After getting specialization certificate she worked for years as Ob/GYN specialist in Wardak Provincial hospital. Because of her interest to the field of public health she decided to work in public health and serve for the vulnerable category of Afghan population “mothers and children”. Therefore, she joined Ministry of Public Health Afghanistan and worked in different managerial positions like Family Planning coordinator, RH acting director and Improving Quality in Health Care Director.
Totally over 24 years proven experience in hospital management, practical task in hospital services and over 14 years experience in public health sector in project planning, administrative management and leadership.
She obtained her Master degree in Public Health (MPH) from National University of Jodhpur from Faculty of Medicine & Health and sciences (2011-2013).
