Goal: To become a leader in public health workforce development and training in Sexual and Reproductive Health in Bahrain.
To enhance healthy people advocacy through working on: strengthening the infrastructure that supports public health’s academic and professional training, Increase the scope and number of programs and projects that improves public health practice, and engaging communities, partners in addressing public health practice.
Ms. Khadija Hasan is a Fulbright Scholar, Certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education and Credentialing, (NCHEC), USA, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapist through Stonebridge Associated Collages (SAC), UK. Khadija graduated with Bachelor Degree in Nursing Sciences from College of Health Sciences, Bahrain, and Masters in Public Health (Major in Health Education, Minor in Anthropology) from University of Southern Mississippi, USA.
Khadija holds a position as lecturer in Nursing sciences and Sociology in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Bahrain. She is a member of Society of Public Health Education (SOPHE), USA, Rufaidah Honor Society, Bahrain, and Bahrain Diabetes Society, Bahrain.
Khadija participated in the Evidence-Based, Abstinence Approach to Teen Pregnancy, STD, and HIV Prevention, in Hattiesburg Public School District, and HIV White Ryan Program, USA. This training experience enhanced her motivation towards public health education in such culturally sensitive issue, sexual and reproductive health.
