Ogbonna Amanze was born on 14th Febuary. He had his undergraduate medical training at University of Ilorin, Nigeria, from where he graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Jan. 2002. After his medical internship at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, he worked briefly as a medical officer in a private medical facility in Imo State, Nigeria, before going for residency training in paediatrics and childhealth- where he was involved in Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT). Later, he worked in the specialty of paediatrics in Saudi Arabia, before proceeding to the United Kingdom for his MPH degree programme, where he worked as a Volunteer Sexual Health Promotion Officer, for the Heart of England Foundation Trust, Birmingham, England. On completion of his MPH programme, he returned to Nigeria in December 2013 and was employed on 20th December, 2013 into his current position.
