I am Olena Getsko, an Ukrainian, born on the 8th of October 1989. In 2012 I was graduated from the Donetsk National Medical University (Ukraine). Since 2012 I am the resident in Obstetrics & Gynecology in Donetsk Regional Center for Mother & Child Care.
Since second year of my University study I have been actively involved in research activities conducted at different University Departments. One of my research has been addressed to public health issues, namely attitude of parturients to care provided. I have been involved in the study aimed to evaluate , ultrasound role in prediction of uterine scar quality in order to find predictors for safe vaginal delivery after previous cesarean section. Since 2013 I am participating in research conducted at the Donetsk National Medical University in framework of FP7 project “Food-based solutions for Optimal vitamin D Nutrition and health through the life cycle".
I am very interested in Sexual and Reproductive Health Research. Because, from my point of view, this knowledge is lack and area is required special attention in Ukraine.
Participating in the online training course on research methodology in sexual and reproductive health will help me to fulfill my dream to get knowledge at the famous international public health institution and to apply my knowledge to large-scale project aimed to strengthen public health system in Ukraine in future.
