I work as Senior Technical Advisor for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in GFA Consulting Group GmBH on behalf of Nepali-German Health Sector Support Program, GTZ (German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in Nepal. My major responsibilities are to provide technical assistance in design, development and implementation of national policy and strategies for Adolescent Health. In addition, my role is to research and convey evidence for advocacy in reproductive health and rights of youth and adolescents. I have 14 years of experience working in the reproductive health: adolescent’s health, maternal and child health, and gender based violence. I had worked as Project Coordinator in HealthRights International to advocate health rights of survivors of trafficking and gender based violence. I progressively worked in CARE in variety of designations such as Training officer (2002-2004) and Research, Monitoring and Documentation Officer (2005-2007) in projects that had prime objectives to improve the health of young married adolescent reproductive health. Public private partnership was one of the approaches applied to expand and sustain the promising project interventions. My starting career was with nursing teaching institution as Instructor/training coordinator 2000-2002 for the Faculty of Nursing. In addition, I had an opportunity to deliver several guest lectures in different Universities especially in youth sexual and reproductive health and rights.
