Mr. Abera Kumalo Shano is born on the 2nd September 1987. He graduated from Hawassa University, Ethiopia in 2008 with Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BSc in MLS) and Masters Degree in Medical Microbiology from Jimma University, Ethiopia in 2013. He held the position of Vice Dean of Campus and Basic Students Service at Mizan-Tepi University, Ethiopia (March 2010 – October 2010). He hold Higher Diploma holder for health students teaching from Jimma University, by year 2009. Currently he is the Lecturer of Medical Microbiology and Departement Head of Biomedical Sciences, College of Health and Medical Sciences, Mizan-Tepi University, Ethiopia.

He conducted different Research and teaching materials at Mizan-Tepi University. He is widely travelled and married. Now he is lecturer of Medical Microbiology, giving advisory service for students of Health Sciences, preparing module, mentoring peer-learning, conducting different Biomedical Research and Head of Biomedical Sciences Departement, College of Health and Medical Sciences, Mizan-Tepi University, Ethiopia.
