Dr. Awad is a 2002 Medical School graduate and finished his Masters's in Health Sciences in 2009, majoring in population health from the American University in Beirut. In the last 18 years; he held different positions in the population and reproductive health field, in which he was responsible for different initiatives in the African continent and the Middle East, mainly in the reproductive health and youth fields, which provided him with the insight to understand the nature of reproductive health networking and partnership-building on the national and regional levels. Amr worked with different international organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Management Sciences for Health (MSH), Doctors without Borders, and The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). He is currently working as Planning and monitoring chief for UNICEF Cambodia office.

  He worked as sexual and reproductive health consultant with different organizations like Plan International, UNFPA, Save the Children, International Finance Corporation (ICF), International and Centre for development services, and one world UK. The researches varied between needs assessment, documentation, quantitative and qualitative researches.

Amr was part of different scientific research related to reproductive health in the Arab world on the academic level. He is involved in working with marginalized populations, especially women and youth.

Amr is going to participate in the SRH course and participated in our course on perinatal health with Oxford University.se by coaching our students in the MENA region.
