Ethar H. Abosam was born in 1990 in Khartoum-Sudan; she completed a bachelor of science in pharmacy at university of Khartoum in 2011. She underwent the medical profession practice exam in 2012.

Ethar served as a pharmacist in Alamal National Hospital – chronic medications pharmacy for one year and as a community pharmacist for two years.

She joined Troikaa pharmaceuticals in 2014 and worked as a medical representative for two years.

Ethar returned to pursue advanced studies; she is currently a student in master of public health program- reproductive health- Gender and Reproductive Health and rights Resource and Advocacy Center (GRACE)-Ahfad University for women.

She is a member of Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).

Her professional interests include providing good information about rational use of drugs as well as proper care service in community pharmacy practice.

In addition, as part of her commitment to Sudanese women and their reproductive health issues, Ethar is a young advocate on women empowerment for the rights of women and their bodies.
