Mahaman Elhadj Hallarou was the Head of Prevention Division in Niger MOH Nutrition Directorate. He has more than 10 years’ experience in Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health programming including Technical management of a four-Year USAID funded Child survival Program. He is course director and master trainer in Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and Integrated Management of child Illness (IMCI). He is Quality Assurance coach in Pediatric Health care (PHI), Essential Obstetric and Newborn cares (EONC) and has participated in the establishment of Quality Improvement Collaborative teams in more than 30 Niger hospitals and maternities.

He has provided technical expertise in reviews of CMAM guidelines in Niger and Sudan and more than 10 evaluations of Multilateral (USAID, ECHO, EU, AFD, GIZ) and UN (UNICEF, UNFPA) Projects in maternal and child health, Nutrition and Food security projects in Niger.

Mahaman holds an MD from University of Niamey Faculty of Medicine. He specialized in Food Engineering and Child Nutrition as UNESCO Research Fellow at Southern Yangtze University (China) and he is currently PhD Candidate at Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium).
