Hello! I am Shafiur. I was born in Tangail, Bangladesh on 19th April, 1990. I am currently living in Mirpur at Dhaka city since 1997. I passed my secondary school certificate exam in 2005 and higher secondary school certificate exam in 2007. Then I did Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physiotherapy from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka in 2013. My undergraduate study has provided me the whole gamut of knowledge in the field of medical science. Then I passed post graduate diploma course in Exercise Physiology in 2015 from Bangladesh Institute of Sports (BKSP) affiliated by National University, Bangladesh. Within this time I have worked at a medical institute as a lecturer and in a hospital as a Physiotherapist. As part of my great interest In Non-Communicable Diseases and public health research, I moved to Iran to study my Masters in Public Health. I have completed MPH degree mainly focused on epidemiology from School of Public Health, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran with scholarship in 2016. I also have attended different conferences, seminar and workshops in different areas of public health. I also have participated in 3 weeks intensive training on Field Epidemiology ran by German research institutes in Iran. Returning back to my country from Iran, I am attached with a hospital as a public health officer for a short period. Currently I am fellow of GIBACHT project on Biosafety and Biosecurity conducted by different institutes of Germany, Africa and Switzerland. I also have taken online training courses on clinical epidemiology, qualitative research methods, health in humanitarian crisis, global health and global adolescent health.
