Pankti Acharya

Pankti Acharya attended Drexel University for her undergraduate studies focusing on biological sciences. In college, she organized a medical mission trip to Haiti which sparked her interest in global health. After college, she completed her Master of Public Health at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia USA. During this period, she was involved with clinical research projects in various surgical subspecialties. Her thesis explored food allergy education among restaurant employees. Currently, she is a medical student at Rowan University SOM and aspires to combine her interests in global health and medicine to improve surgical care worldwide. She is assisting in the development of the GFMER’s online public health training course on Cancer in Universal Health Coverage.
