I am Naveed Jafri a Public Health Physician by training with over 11 years of experience specifically 6 yrs in progressive community health & social development accomplishments utilizing creative leadership, providing technical assistance to district and provincial health departments, strategic planning & management, monitoring and evaluation skills while building and managing strong professional teams at district and provincial level.
The multidirectional working & tasking experience in both the developmental & emergency programs in the disasters areas of Pakistan earthquake 2005, flood 2010 Punjab, flood 2011 have given me the strength to work in challenging situations.
I have the experience in working Emergency Response & Recovery Program in one of a Humanitarian Organization in Pakistan during 2010 & 2011 Floods. During this Emergency Response my strengths included quality implementation of Health & Nutrition program interventions by Health System Strenghtining,integration of Health & Nutrition ,liaison with the district & provincial health department, capacity building of health care providers both department of health and of my organization. The engagement of community members through broad base community meetings were also arranged followed by the formation of Local Health Councils at the community level.
I have the opportunity to work in developmental program Pakistan Initiative for Mothers & Newborns. The main activities during this assignment included the capacity building of Health Care Providers on Essential Maternal Newborn Care who are involved in service delivery, and of Lady Health Workers on revitalization of Male Health Committees, Female Support Groups & Community Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses. The monitoring of program activities of sub grantee consortium partners on training of LHWs on vaccination techniques in coordination with the vaccinators of the EPI.
