Welcome to my personal page!
I’m Tamara Ahmed. I was born on the 2nd of November 1990. I have recently graduated from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology in Khartoum, with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. As an undergraduate medical student I joined the International Federation of Medical Student Association IFMSA SCOPH (Standing Committee on Public Health). During the two years of my involvement, I was able to work in many underserved areas and was exposed to major health problems in my community. IFMSA was an energetic, youthful, self-driven community and the humanitarian aspect was extremely rewarding. I learned to collaborate with team members and local health organizations with one common goal: raising awareness about global public health issues. During my final year of medical school, I was awarded a prize for achieving the highest score in my graduation thesis. It took dedication, perseverance and passion. That sparked even more enthusiasm and eagerness within me to further develop my knowledge and hopefully make a change in my community.
