I was born a little over three decades ago to a Ghanaian mother and a Nigerian father. Having been raised in a multicultural home and growing up in the vast culturally mixed campus of Ahmadu Bello Univeristy in Zaria (Nigeria), cultural diversity has been an integral part of my life. Such was the strength of this influence on me that I love learning about the lifestyles and norms of the people I meet. The specialty of Family Medicine seemed like a Godsend as it provided the perfect opportunity for me to combine this aspect of my life with medical practice. Getting to really know my patients; their fears, concerns, beliefs, backgrounds and aspirations really gives a whole new perspective to my work and has led to numerous "aha" moments especially when symptoms don't really add up.

I am happily married in a multicultural union and we are blessed with two beautiful children. My inspiration comes from the bible and my life philosophy is that "there is a time and a season for everything". I make time for my many hobbies, which include reading, cooking, swimming, listening to music and spending time with my family.
