Mr. Mahara graduated from the University of Wolverhampton, UK, in 2012 with a Master of Public Health (MPH) and also obtained a Master in Health Education (M.Ed) from Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2010. He has been working in the public health sector of Nepal for nearly two decades. He is interested in research on contemporary public health issues. He has attended and participated in conferences, training and workshops on different aspects of public health, particularly Maternal and Child health, Tuberculosis, Sexual and Reproductive health, and HIV/AIDS. Recently, he presented a scientific paper regarding “Maternal Mortality Ratio” in the First National Health Promotion Conference, March 30th - April 1st 2013 in Kathmandu. His research articles have been published in leading journals. He volunteered actively in the London Triathlon, Sep 22nd and 23rd 2012, at the charity event organized by UNICEF UK. He is currently serving in the oldest and largest government hospital in the country - NAMS, Bir Hospital.
