Sandhya Mittal was born in India. After medical school, she completed a master in surgery in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Seth GS Medical College Mumbai, India. In her endeavor to enrich herself with cutting edge technologies and sharpen her skills, she moved to the USA. She worked as a volunteer and participated in ongoing research on the association between maternal body mass index and perinatal outcome at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Jamaica, USA. Currently she is working on extraction of placental vessel network and its association with developmental disabilities. She defines herself as a diligent, proactive and a sensible person. Meditation and spiritual exploration are an integral part of her life.
