Cletus Asare has over ten years of experience in designing, managing, implementing and supervising community-based malaria prevention and adolescent reproductive health programs within Africa. More than half of this experience has been in the provision of technical assistance to field partners in 17 countries across Africa. His work has focused on Behavior Change Communication (BCC) for a number of public health programs, including the implementation of LLIN distribution campaigns with different strategies, including the universal campaigns of all types and routine distribution strategies across the continent.

Currently as executive director at Advocate for Youth, he oversees the office in 4 countries and play a leading role in building strategic partnerships with ministries of education and health as well as multilateral donors across board. Advocate For Youth promotes adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights in a unique and innovative way and focuses heavily on school-going youth in Africa. 

Currently, he is also carrying out a consultancy for IMA Worldhealth on their North Ubangi campaign in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he assists the organization to design and implement effective BCC strategies.

Cletus has a special interest in the promotion of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights.
